Philip Morris Pakistan strengthens water security in Skardu

Philip Morris Pakistan Limited (PMPKL), in partnership with Hashoo Hunar Association (HHA), has completed a 30,700-litre water storage tank in Rigayul, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan. The facility is designed to improve water access, benefiting around 100 households and supporting everyday domestic needs such as household use and kitchen gardening.

Constructed with reinforced concrete and equipped with waterproofing and plumbing systems, the tank provides a durable solution to local water challenges. HHA, the implementing partner, contributed its expertise in community development and infrastructure improvement.

The project is part of PMPKL’s broader CSR strategy, which focuses on water access, livelihoods, and environmental sustainability. By enhancing local resilience and addressing community needs, the company aims to deliver practical, long-term benefits across Pakistan.
