Karachi Port Trust (KPT) facilitated the arrival and discharge of 179 electric buses (EVs) from Yingkou, China, aboard MV RUINING 6, which berthed at Karachi Gateway Terminal Multipurpose Limited (KGTML) in Karachi.

Consigned to Margalla Heavy Industries Limited, Taxila Cantt, Pakistan, the shipment underscores Karachi Port’s pivotal role in facilitating the import of modern transport solutions and supporting Pakistan’s transition towards cleaner, more sustainable mobility.

The successful handling of the electric buses reflects Karachi Port’s ability to accommodate diverse cargo requirements while sustaining the efficient flow of trade and contributing to the country’s evolving transport infrastructure.
