Yango Ride receives  a TNC operating license from the Punjab ProvincialTransport Authority

Yango Ride has become the first ride-hailing platform in Pakistan to receive a Transport Network Company (TNC) operating license from the Punjab Provincial Transport Authority, a significant milestone for the country’s mobility sector.
The license allows Yango Ride to operate under the Provincial Motor Vehicle (Amendment) Act, 2025, which regulates ride-hailing services in Punjab. This approval followed months of collaboration with the Punjab Transport Ministry and other stakeholders to implement a new licensing framework for digital mobility platforms.
“We appreciate the Punjab Transport Authority for granting us the license,” said Miral Sharif, Country Manager for Yango Pakistan. “This milestone reflects our commitment to developing a safer, affordable, and reliable ride-hailing ecosystem.”
The license enhances transparency and consistency in the sector, providing operational certainty while minimising regulatory risks. It signals a positive development for Pakistan’s tech and mobility sectors as demand for flexible urban transport rises. Yango Ride is also collaborating with the Government of Punjab to integrate emergency services in the app, promoting a safer experience for all users.
