Visa (NYSE: V) has appointed Tareq Muhmood as Regional President for Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA). He will oversee operations in over 86 markets and lead a team serving more than 1,800 clients from 23 local offices.
Muhmood brings over 30 years of experience in banking and payments, having most recently led Value-Added Services in Visa’s Europe region. He joined Visa in 2019 as Group Country Manager for Southeast Asia. He will be based in Dubai, reporting to Oliver Jenkyn, Group President of Global Markets.
Muhmood succeeds Andrew Torre, who now heads Visa’s rapidly growing Value-Added Services business, which has seen annual revenue growth of 20% since 2021. “I am honored to lead the CEMEA region and excited about expanding digital payments across dynamic markets,” said Muhmood.
