Rescue officials said a fire that broke out at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) building in Karachi on Monday has been brought under control. However, trading has been suspended during this period.
According to Sindh Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hassaan Khan, no loss of life has been reported, and the cooling process of the I.I. Chundrigar Road building is underway.
Khan said the fire initially broke out on the fourth floor of the building, adding that as soon as Rescue 1122’s Central Command and Control received the information, two fire brigade trucks reached the spot to douse the blaze.
He added that one snorkel and a total of six fire brigades had reached the building to extinguish the fire.
