·        A range-bound session was witnessed at the PSX today. The market opened in the green zone but the lack of investors’ participation dive the index down into the red zone and continued to trade in the same zone for most of the trading session. Market participation was approximately lower than the previous session as volumes remained dry in the main board however, decent volumes were recorded in the 3rd tier

·        The index closed at 42,348.63 pts, down by 24.96pts (-0.06% DoD). Sectors contributing to the performance include Commercial Banks (-79.9pts), Technology & Communication (-17.3pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-18.2pts), Chemical(-8.2pts), Automobile Assembler (-6.9pts).

·        Volumes decreased from 139.2mn shares to 120.2mn shares (-13.7% DoD). The average traded value also decreased by 7.9% to USD 20.80mn as against USD 22.58mn.

·        Stocks that contributed significantly to the volumes are WTL, NCP, DFML, KEL, TRG, GCI, & PIBTL
