Industrialists in Karachi’s largest industrial zone, SITE, have pledged full cooperation with the police to improve law and order and prevent crime, terming the modernisation of the Shaheen Force and the provision of bulletproof jackets, motorcycles for patrolling, and modern protective and uniform kits for its personnel important steps towards ensuring lasting peace.
Abdul Hadi, President of the SITE Association of Industry, appreciated the efforts of the Additional Inspector General Karachi, DIG South and SSP Kemari to improve security. He stressed that close coordination and joint efforts between the police and industrialists were essential to control crime in industrial areas.
“The recent police initiatives would further enhance the effectiveness of the SITE Crime Monitoring Cell. This cooperation, he added, would significantly help prevent street crime and other criminal activities, particularly in the SITE industrial area,” he said.
Mr. Hadi emphasised that a peaceful, conducive environment is fundamental to uninterrupted industrial production. “When industrialists and workers enjoy security of life and property, business confidence rises, investment is encouraged, and industries can operate at full capacity. This will have a positive impact on the economy,” he added.
SAI chief said sustained industrial activity would not only help create new employment opportunities but also strengthen the national economy and promote exports.
