Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), Telco Integrators Pvt Ltd (TI), and Kacific Broadband Satellites Group have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand high-speed satellite internet and broadband services across Pakistan. This partnership aims to deliver reliable and affordable connectivity, particularly to underserved areas, by leveraging PTCL’s extensive telecommunications infrastructure, Telco Integrators’ technical expertise, and Kacific’s satellite capabilities.
PTCL will provide its fibre network and submarine cables, while Telco Integrators will facilitate the deployment of satellite services. The collaboration aims to promote Kacific’s services to telecom operators, enterprises, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), thereby enhancing nationwide access to connectivity.
“The partnership is a milestone for enhancing digital connectivity in Pakistan,” said Aamer Ejaz from PTCL. Kacific’s CEO, Christian Patouraux, emphasised the mission to ensure no one is left behind in the digital era, and Telco Integrators’ CEO, Imtiaz Ahmed Laghari, highlighted the focus on practical, localised solutions for improved access.
With over half of the population lacking reliable broadband, this alliance aims to help close the digital divide and empower remote communities with better internet access.
