PPL secured eight offshore blocks in Pakistan’s bid round

The PPL advanced geological studies, seismic campaigns, and drilling programs, acquiring 2D seismic in Khuzdar and Kuhan and 3D seismic in Baran Block. During the year, PPL drilled four exploration wells in operated areas and three in partner-operated blocks, announcing 11 new discoveries. PPL also drilled four development wells to offset natural decline, while production initiatives added about 40 MMscfd of incremental sales.

Key projects include the Zafir/GPF-III development at Gambat South and the Pateji project at Shah Bandar, both expected to enhance output. Offshore Block 5 in Abu Dhabi progressed into Exploration Period-2, with technical studies and FDP reservoir models completed to support FEED planning.

PPL also secured eight offshore blocks in Pakistan’s bid round, including two it will operate.

The company continues to participate in the Reko Diq project amid security challenges and has awarded contracts for the Barite, Lead and Zinc (BLZ) project. Execution of new ventures remains subject to security conditions, regulatory approvals, and supply-chain constraints.
