Heimtextil 2026 concluded successfully in Frankfurt, where Pakistan delivered an outstanding performance, earning the distinction of being the world’s third-largest exhibiting country, behind only China and India. Messe Frankfurt has announced the dates for next year’s exhibition: Heimtextil 2027 will take place from January 12 to January 15, 2027.
This year, Pakistan participated with a record 287 exhibitors, marking a significant milestone at the world’s leading home and contract textiles fair. The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) played a pivotal role in organising and facilitating Pakistan’s participation. Overall, the exhibition hosted more than 3,000 exhibitors from 66 countries and attracted over 50,000 visitors, while TDAP provided logistical and promotional support to ensure strong global visibility for Pakistani exhibitors.
The fair also highlighted Pakistan’s strengths in innovation. Three Pakistani professionals were honoured with the DNFI Innovation in Natural Fibres Award for applied research and industry collaboration: Muhammad Faraz (main author), Dr Qasim Siddiqui (co-author), and Muhammad Fawad Farooq (industrial partner). The award, presented during a ceremony at the fair, recognised their practical contributions to advancing natural fibre technologies and sustainable options for the textile sector.
