Martin Dow Group hosts the 1st Pakistan Summit in Islamabad

Martin Dow Group hosted the 1st Pakistan Summit held in Islamabad at Marriot Hotel yesterday. The theme of this year’s summit was “Finding bright spots.” The Pakistan Summit is an engagement of the national intelligentsia of the country with General Zubair Hayat, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee as the keynote speaker, High Commissioners and Ambassadors, the academia, Government dignitaries, members of the media and learned delegates from the Corporate & Social sectors and movers and shakers of the civil society.

The speakers and panelists throughout the summit highlighted a number of important affairs and spoke on topics revolving around: The Geo political Backdrop and Pakistan, Media and Sensationalism, Cyber security, Branding Pakistan and Dialogues on “Finding the bright spots”.

Mr Jawed Akhai, Chairman, Martin Dow Group speaking at the inaugural ceremony said: “What’s most refreshing about Pakistan is knowing there are millions of bright spots all around us; they are just eclipsed. And the Pakistan Summit will play its role in discovering the Bright Spots to take the nation forward. This is the best of times for passionate patriotic Pakistanis with belief and commitment to step up and accept personal responsibility to build and grow this PowerHouse called Pakistan. Let’s not wait for others to perform miracles; this is our time, our nation and our terms.” He further added: “The pharmaceutical industry has been identified as a sunrise industry which can lead Pakistan to economic prosperity and its future can be very Bright.”

The Pakistan Summit was a 1st of its kind national conference aimed at “restoring Pakistan’s fine glory” and positively re-branding the nations Bright Spots and investing in the youth bulge for the future prosperity of the country.
