KPT inaugurates solarization of KPT Secondary School, Keamari

The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) proudly announces the successful inauguration of the Solarization of KPT Secondary School, Keamari, marking a significant step towards sustainability and energy efficiency.

The project, featuring a 20 kW on-grid solar system with a fuel saver, is designed to reduce the school’s dependence on conventional electricity and promote renewable energy solutions. The installed solar panels, Jinko Solar 580-W N-type, meet international standards, including IEC 61215, IEC 61730, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. This initiative aligns with KPT’s commitment to environmental responsibility and energy conservation.

Chairman KPT Rear Admiral Habib Ur Rehman HI (M), who attended as the Chief Guest, graced the inauguration ceremony. He emphasized the importance of renewable energy in reducing carbon footprints and enhancing energy sustainability in public institutions.

The project reflects KPT’s dedication to fostering green energy solutions while ensuring uninterrupted power supply to educational institutions. By implementing solarization at KPT Secondary School, Keamari, the organization aims to set an example for other institutions to adopt sustainable energy practices.
