The Kohat Cement Factory’s net profit after tax jumped by 19 per cent to PKR4.45bn during 1HFY24. However, local dispatches fell by 8.05 per cent to 1.418Mt, but exports swelled by 2438 per cent to 28,396t during the six months ending on 31st December 2023. Meanwhile, after the BMR (pyro-process optimisation) of the existing 6,700 TPD Grey Cement production line, the company’s clinker production capacity has increased from 6,700 TPD to 7,064 TPD.

According to the 1HFY24 report, infrastructure development is in progress, whereas the import of plants and machinery shall be finalised once the economic outlook is improved.

Installation of Solar Power Plant

The company is setting up a further 10MW Solar Power Plant at its plant site in Kohat. The LC for importing panels has been established, whereas other equipment and materials procurement is in progress.
