Kabir re-elected as BCMA president for two years.

Md Alamgir Kabir, vice-chairman of Crown Cement PLC, has been re-elected as president of the Bangladesh Cement Manufacturers Association (BCMA) for 2023-25. Similarly, Imran Karim, vice-chairman of Confidence Cement Ltd, and Abdul Khaleque Pervez, managing director of Diamond Cement Ltd, were also re-elected as the 1st and 2nd vice-president of the BCMA.

Treasurer Faizur Rahman Bakul (Noapara Cement) and Sk Jashim Uddin (Akij Cement), Tahmina Ahmed (Seven Ring Cement), Md Shahidullah (Metrocem Cement), Ashraful Amin Badal (Heidelberg Cement) and Nab-E-Zahir (Mir Cement) are the executive members.

Mr. Md. Alamgir Kabir is a Sponsor Director and Vice Chairman of M. I. Cement Factory Ltd, which owns the Crown Cement brand. Having more than three decades of business experience in the trading and manufacturing sectors, he has proved his wisdom and leadership in business. At present, he is also the Chairman of GPH Ispat Limited. He is also Managing Director of Crown Cement Concrete and Building Products Limited.

He is also the Director of Premier Cement Mills Limited, Premier Power Generation Limited, Crown Power Generation Limited, Crown Polymer Bagging Limited, Crown Mariners Limited, Crown Transportation and Logistics Limited, GPH Power Generation Limited, GPH Ship Builders Limited, GPH Engineers & Development Limited, Jahangir & Others Limited, Chittagong Capital Limited, Indo Steel Re-Rolling Industries Limited and actively participating in their management. He is also associated with some other limited companies trading with his brothers.
