Renowned businessman Khalid Tawab has been elected unopposed as Chairman of the Pakistan Iron & Steel Merchants Association (PISMA) for the 2026–28 term. According to the results, M. Hanif Sabuwala and Saleem Baber were elected Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively.
The Election Commission, headed by Abdul Razzak and including Faisal Marfani and Muhammad Bilal as members, announced the newly elected office-bearers and Executive Committee members. Those elected unopposed to the Committee include Ch. Aftab Ahmed Khan, Muhammed Rehan Irshad, Ali Asghar Jivani, Mehmood, Abdul Wahid, Nasir Marfani, and Farhan Irshad.
In his remarks, Chairman Khalid Tawab thanked former chairmen and committee members and pledged to uphold the business community’s confidence in him. He emphasized the steel and iron industry’s vital role in Pakistan’s economic growth and said he would promote trade and strengthen the sector.
