KCCI delegation attends PAJCCI, DGTO meetings and discusses gas matters with State Minister

A high-level delegation of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) led by Chairman Businessmen Group Zubair Motiwala and President KCCI Muhammad Idrees attended numerous meetings on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Islamabad, including a meeting of the Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PAJCCI) on barter trade, Meeting with Directorate General Trade Organizations and Meeting with Minister of State for Petroleum Musadik Malik.

During PAJCCI’s Meeting, the representatives of business & industrial communities of both the countries thoroughly discussed and agreed upon the basics of Pakistan-Afghanistan barter trade which will be implemented within the next 90 days.

A meeting with the Directorate General of Trade Organizations was also held wherein numerous matters about trade organizations were discussed in detail and the issues raised were resolved by Muhammad Sualeh Farooqi. At the same time, Former President KCCI Junaid Makda would take up all such problems and ensure follow-up.

KCCI delegation also held a meeting with Minister of State Musadik Malik to discuss the country’s overall gas crises, particularly the gas shortages and low gas pressure faced by Karachi’s business and industrial community. State Minister informed that formula was being devised to deal with the gas shortages being suffered by the business and industrial community as the government wants to ensure that the industrial wheels keep on spinning without interruption. He assured that the gas issue would be resolved soon after the budget so that the hardships being faced by the consumers could be minimized.
