KATI discuses Water challenges on World Water Day

Water challenges were being discussed at Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) in a special meeting called for World Water Day. President Tariq Malik Said that collectively we ignored our water resources due to this bigger economic and healthcare challenges have become threat to our nation. Vice President KATI Junaid Naqi, Chairman Consumer Association of Pakistan Kokub Iqbal, Dr Samee Uzzman, Sikandr Iqbal, Tariq Baghpati and other also expressed their views on this occasion. Tariq Malik urged the government to take immediate measures for building new water reservoirs and improvement of drinking water quality.

Junaid Naqi said in Pakistan billion rupees of worth water are being waste annually. He said that Industry should also come forward to play its role to for the protection and awareness regarding water issues. Dr Sami Uzzman briefed the meeting regarding purification and other important issues related to water. Chairman Consumer Association of Pakistan Kokab Iqbal said that every day should be taken as “water day” , situation is going worst day by day and whole nation must focus on water challenges. The participants of the meeting unanimously applauded the measure taken by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Saqib Nisar by taking notice of water related condition in Sind province and especially in Karachi. Action of water commission headed by Justice (r )Ameer Hani Muslim was also appreciated.
