Karandaaz Pakistan has partnered with Kissan Gudam, a Hajisons Group venture, to enhance Pakistan’s farming communities and modernise the agricultural ecosystem. This collaboration integrates modern storage infrastructure, digital financial services, and direct market access, helping smallholder farmers protect their yields and access fair credit through Electronic Warehouse Receipt (EWR)-based financing. Kissan Gudam utilizes GrainPro’s innovative hermetic storage technology, which is both affordable and portable, minimizing transportation costs and preserving crop quality.

CEO Waqas ul Hasan from Karandaaz Pakistan highlighted the need for comprehensive infrastructure and market linkages in agriculture, while Kissan Gudam’s CEO Farhan Tahir emphasized providing farmers with tools for financial security and climate-resilient practices. The partnership aims to digitize Pakistan’s agricultural value chain, facilitating access to modern storage, financial services, and market opportunities for smallholder farmers. The signing ceremony was attended by Tom A. Peter from the U.S. Embassy, who praised the collaboration as a prime example of U.S.-Pakistan cooperation in agriculture.
