Muhammad Zohaib Khan, the former chairman of Pakistan’s IT industry association P@SHA, was honored as the Pride of Pakistan for his contributions to the IT sector. This recognition was announced during the 78th Independence Day Celebrations in Islamabad.
With over two decades of experience, Zohaib was pivotal in achieving record IT export earnings exceeding $3.2 billion in FY24 and hosting the APICTA Awards for the first time in Pakistan. He implemented significant changes in P@SHA, including tax incentives and the establishment of Tech Destination Pakistan, while fostering international expansion for Pakistani IT companies.
Currently, he plays an active role in the Special Investment Facilitation Council, targeting $10 billion in IT exports. Reflecting on his recognition, Zohaib emphasized the transformative potential of Pakistan’s IT industry for both the economy and governance. The ceremony was attended by notable dignitaries, including Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif.
