IBA Karachi, Aga Khan University (AKU), and Habib University (HU) jointly hosted the Annual Teaching and Learning Symposium 2026 on “AI in Pedagogy” at IBA Main Campus, bringing together academics and education leaders to discuss AI’s impact on higher education.

A key highlight was the signing of an MoU between the three institutions, reinforcing their commitment to collaboration and innovation in teaching and learning. The symposium featured a leadership panel moderated by Dr. S Akbar Zaidi; a keynote address by Dr. Fazilat Siddiq of the University of Oslo on critical thinking and learner agency in the AI era; and interactive sessions, an EdTech showcase, and student performances.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Jane Rarieya of AKU and Dr. Mohammad Shahid Shaikh of Habib University, emphasizing the value of academic partnerships in shaping the future of higher education.
