Nehal Hashmi, Governor of Sindh, praised Atif Farooqi for his 26 years of service in promoting trade between Pakistan and Romania during a meeting at the Governor’s House. He noted the key role of the Pakistan Romania Business Council in enhancing trade diplomacy and private-sector cooperation.

The meeting focused on boosting bilateral relations, trade, and investment, as well as opportunities in maritime trade, logistics, agriculture, and technology.

Atif Farooqi highlighted the recent KPT–Constanța Port MOU, emphasizing its potential to strengthen Romania’s position as a gateway to EU markets. Both sides are committed to expanding mutual engagement and turning goodwill into economic results.
