Collective responsibility to protect the future generation from the curse of drugs, Faraz-ur-Rehman.

Emphasising the need to curb drug abuse in educational institutions, President Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) emphasized that the youth hold the key to the nation’s progress. Brigadier Syed Waqar Haider Rizvi, Regional Directorate Commander of the Anti-Narcotics Force, highlighted their zero-tolerance policy against drug dealers and revealed new initiatives to address drug-related issues.

During a recent event, attended by prominent figures including President KATI Faraz-ur-Rehman and other dignitaries, Brigadier Rizvi announced that helplines had been launched to facilitate complaints and awareness regarding drug-related matters.

Efforts to counter drug trafficking are in full swing, with a particular focus on educational institutions. Institutions enforcing the law are actively pursuing individuals involved in drug peddling and criminal activities.

Brigadier Rizvi revealed that centers offering free treatment for drug addicts have been established in areas under the ANF’s jurisdiction, such as Lyari, Manghopir, and Sukkur, while a hospital will soon be established in Multan.

To support law enforcement efforts, the business community, especially KATI members, are collaborating with institutions enforcing the law and creating employment opportunities for the youth.

President KATI stressed the importance of providing technical education and vocational programs to equip young industrialists with skills for immediate employment opportunities, combating unemployment, and deterring drug use.

Faraz-ur-Rehman reiterated the importance of ensuring drug-free educational environments for the youth, highlighting that they are the architects of the nation’s future.

Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya lauded ANF’s efforts in eradicating drugs from the country and promoting a positive image on the global stage.

Chhaya also suggested urgent measures to safeguard children through awareness campaigns and seminars to shield their future from the scourge of drugs.
