The Dawood Foundation (TDF) welcomed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to the MagnifiScience Centre (MSC) to inaugurate the new exhibition, Lost Cities of the Indus Delta, coinciding with Sindhi Cultural Day. The visit highlighted the integration of local identity in education and reaffirmed the government’s support for accessible science and cultural preservation.
During the tour, the Chief Minister praised MSC’s hands-on exhibits and interactive programs, noting their role in making science engaging and relevant. TDF Chairman Hussain Dawood emphasised the necessity of experiential science education, while Vice Chair Sabrina Dawood highlighted the importance of connecting science with cultural roots.
The exhibition, developed with MaritimEA Research and supported by the Cultural Protection Fund, takes visitors through ancient Sindhi settlements and features excavation simulations and VR experiences. It aims to reconnect communities with their historical achievements and raise awareness about preserving cultural sites. The visit underscored MSC’s mission to link science and culture, inspiring curiosity and pride within Karachi’s communities.
