The KPT has organized a ceremony to distribute cash awards amongst the KPT Cricket Team players and officials. Two separate cheques of Rupees 100,000/- each – one from KPT and the other from KCCA – total amounting Rupees 200,000/-, were given out today to KPT Cricket Team players and officials for showing excellent performance and winning the coveted Karachi City Cricket Association Trophy for KPT in great fervour against the Pakistan Navy at KCCA ground. In culmination of the retrospect, it is pointed out that KPT scored 279/7 runs in the final match which they won by 16 runs against the Pakistan Navy. KPT has always facilitated its players with the best and it was due to a quality and laborious training the players have performed outstandingly in all areas of cricket.

The Captain of the team Sohail Khan thanked the Chairman KPT Vice Admiral (R) Shafqat Jawed and the Sports Manager Col. Baseer Alam on the occasion and said that his team eyes for more trophies for Karachi Port Trust in the future as well. It was followed by a group photo on the occasion which concluded the proceedings of the day.
