Chief Executive Officer of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority, Nadia Jahangir Seth, says Pakistan’s printing and signage industry holds significant potential to become a dynamic driver of innovation, entrepreneurship, and MSME-led economic growth.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the 9th International Digital Printing & Signage Exhibition at Expo Centre, Lahore, she stressed that the transformation of the printing and signage industry through digital and creative solutions was opening new avenues for enterprises to innovate, scale up and compete in domestic and international markets.
The CEO SMEDA said the exhibition was a reflection of the industry’s entrepreneurial strength and its readiness to embrace new technologies and business models.
Highlighting Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s vision for inclusive and sustainable economic growth, Ms Seth said SMEDA, under the guidance of Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan, PM Advisor on Industries, was working to create an enabling environment in which MSMEs could formalize, grow and become more competitive.
She highlighted SMEDA’s interventions focused on MSME formalization through the SME Registration Portal (SMERP), improved access to finance, digital adoption, product quality and standards, and expanded market access and export opportunities.
Ms Seth emphasized that the next phase of growth required stronger collaboration among SMEDA, industry associations, technology providers, financial institutions and enterprises. Such partnerships, she said, could help identify sector-specific constraints, develop practical solutions and enable small businesses to become competitive and sustainable enterprises.
CEO of Fakt Exhibitions, Saleem Tanoli, said the exhibition had been designed to bring together leading industry players, technology providers, manufacturers, distributors and entrepreneurs on a single platform.
Earlier, office bearers of the All Pakistan Outdoor Advertisers Association warmly received the SMEDA CEO. They said the strong participation of local and international stakeholders reflected growing confidence in Pakistan’s printing and signage market and expressed hope that the exhibition would help establish new business linkages, facilitate technology transfer, and open avenues for collaboration.
The participating entrepreneurs showcased innovative products and digital developments in the printing and signage industry.
