Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori said they will introduce a global tape ball event next year. The other day, he spoke at the press conference at Governor House regarding season 4 of the Karachi Tape Ball Premier League. ‘KTPL engaged street talent in tapeball activities with the help of former cricketers, which is commendable,” said the governor.
The governor, who is also the patron-in-chief of KTPL, announced that Karachi Knights would be his property and dedicated this ownership to the students of the IT project by the governor’s house. “I thank our legendary cricketers, namely Javed Miandad, Sadiq Muhammed, Tauseef Ahmed, and Haroon Rasheed, for this initiative of KTPL to help groom our local talent,” said Kamran Tessori.
He said that season 4 of KTPL will be held at Moeen Khan Academy from 14 to 29, and he will be there to watch all the matches and to witness how this initiative is helping our local talent.
He added that they aim to groom local cricket talent for national-level representations through such events. The governor presented the official t-shirts of all KTPL teams to the consul generals of different countries who attended the press briefing.
Zohair Naseer, the organiser and chairman of the KTPL, has said that the governor of Sindh’s support for the KTPL benefits local talent.
“I am thankful to the governor for his support of this initiative. I hope to make it an international activity from Pakistan with the support of the governor of Sindh and our legendary cricketers,” concluded Zohair.
