Caretaker Provincial Minister and President of the Arts Council of Pakistan visited the Karachi Press Club.

Caretaker Provincial Information Minister, Minorities Affairs and Social Protection President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmad Shah paid his first visit to the Press Club after oath-taking. On this occasion, he said that Karachi Press Club is one of the most distinctive press clubs in the world. It combats the aggressive force with bravery. He emphasised that the journalists would not have to make an appointment with the Information Minister’s PA. My relationship with the Karachi Press Club is old; I sit in this club in my spare time, which will continue even now. He expressed these views while talking to the media at Karachi Press Club.

Earlier, Press Club Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Khan and President of Press Club of Karachi Saeed Sarbazi addressed and said that Ahmed Shah has a long relationship with Karachi Press Club, and this relationship has become stronger with time. The problem of the plots of journalists will be solved. Ahmed Shah further said that the work on ongoing projects in the province will be accelerated. He said not to be offended by the media’s criticism of the government; the media provides guidance and points out mistakes. He said that measures will be taken to treat sick journalists, including journalist Ajmal Khattak, and the chief minister will be requested to prioritise the problems of journalists. He said the press club would be my centre and solve the issues in consultation with my journalist friends. The provincial information minister said I would meet the media house officials and discuss working journalists’ issues. I was told that there are arrears towards the Government of Sindh, and their payment will be subject to the condition that they will pay the arrears of the journalists. He further said workshops will be organised in the Arts Council to train journalists.
