Bangladeshi-flagged vessel M/V Jahan Brothers II docked at Gwadar Port

Commercial activities at Gwadar Port persist seamlessly despite regional maritime tensions. This consistency is highlighted by the arrival of another transhipment vessel, indicating increasing international confidence in Pakistan’s deep-sea port.
As per official reports, the Bangladeshi-flagged vessel M/V Jahan Brothers II arrived at Gwadar Port on Saturday from Singapore. It carries 53,064.66 tonnes of high-quality steel billets bound for Al Hamriyah Port in the UAE. The cargo will be temporarily offloaded and stored at Gwadar, then reloaded onto another vessel for onward shipment to the UAE as part of a transhipment process.
Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Noor-ul-Haq Baloch said that maintaining port and commercial operations amidst regional challenges shows Gwadar’s growing reputation as a safe, reliable, and efficient regional trade hub. He highlighted that Gwadar is strengthening its position as an alternative route for regional trade.
