Azerbaijan’s investment in Pakistan’s Gas and Oil sector is welcome: Syed Aman Shah

Provincial Convener of the Awaam Pakistan Party (APP) Balochistan, Syed Aman Shah, has warmly welcomed Azerbaijan’s announcement to invest in Pakistan’s gas and oil sector, terming it an important step toward strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.

He said that Pakistan is currently facing a severe energy crisis, and at such a critical time, foreign investment can play a key role in stabilising the national economy.

Syed Aman Shah emphasised that Balochistan should be given special priority in gas and oil projects, as the province is blessed with vast mineral and natural resources but has unfortunately remained neglected for a long time.

He stated that serious investment in energy projects in Balochistan would not only improve the province’s economic conditions but could also lead the entire country toward energy self-sufficiency. He added that investment from a friendly country like Azerbaijan would create new employment opportunities for Balochistan’s youth, promote local industry, and bring development and prosperity to the region.

Syed Aman Shah urged the federal and provincial governments to build the confidence of foreign investors through transparent policies and ensure that the people of Balochistan directly benefit from these projects.

He reaffirmed that the Awaam Pakistan Party will continue to support all initiatives that serve national interests, provincial development, and public welfare, and expressed hope that Azerbaijan’s investment will prove to be positive and long-lasting for Pakistan, especially for Balochistan.
