Arif Balgamwala unveils stamp designs for Quaid-i-Azam’s 150th Birth Anniversary

Prominent businessman and philatelist Muhammad Arif Balagamwala has proposed a special series of commemorative postage stamps for the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 2026. He aims to highlight key phases of Jinnah’s life, including his political leadership and vision for Pakistan.

Balagamwala plans to submit the stamp designs to the Government of Pakistan for consideration and encourages institutions to incorporate the anniversary’s significance into their communications. He will showcase his proposed stamps at stall 5C7, Hall 5, during the My Karachi Exhibition from February 6 to 8.

He has also appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for national recognition of the anniversary, suggesting the issuance of joint commemorative stamps with friendly nations like the UAE, China, and Türkiye. With 2026 declared the “Year of Quaid-i-Azam,” Balagamwala’s initiative aims to foster education and unity around Jinnah’s principles of unity, faith, and discipline.
