· Another range bound session was witnessed at the PSX today. Despite opening in the green zone the benchmark KSE-100 index recorded a lackluster session as investor participation remained low, which caused the volumes to decline sharply. The market fluctuated in both directions but ended up in the green as the IT sector remained in the limelight.

· The Index closed at 42,085.72pts, up by 78.58pts (0.19% DoD). Sectors contributing to the performance include Technology (77.1pts), E&P’s (15.5pts), Refinery (8.1pts), Chemical (8.0pts) and Fertilizer (6.6pts).

· Volumes decreased from 238.6mn shares to 222.2mn shares (-6.9% DoD). The average traded value increased by 22.8% to USD 44.3mn as against USD 36.05mn.

· Stocks that contributed significantly to the volumes are WTL, TRG, PRL, NETSOL and TELE.
