Bank Alfalah, a leading bank in Pakistan, has partnered with Ahya Technologies to enhance its green banking and sustainable finance efforts. With Pakistan needing $40 billion to $50 billion annually to address climate risks, this collaboration aims to improve the bank’s capacity in sustainable finance, which currently sees insufficient funding.
Farooq Ahmed Khan from Bank Alfalah expressed the bank’s commitment to advancing sustainable finance, highlighting the importance of data-driven insights and responsible portfolio decarbonization.
Additionally, Salaal Hasan, CEO of Ahya, emphasized their goal of bridging sustainability commitments with practical solutions to direct capital towards vulnerable sectors, creating a data-backed financial ecosystem for climate resilience.
