A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) to celebrate Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, featuring Sindh Minister for Labour Saeed Ghani as the chief guest.

Ghani remarked on the change in Independence Day celebrations, noting that after recent conflicts, the spirit among the people had grown more vibrant than in previous years, when fear overshadowed the festivities. He stressed the importance of economic development, suggesting that the country could resolve its financial issues through collective effort and a broader tax base.

Highlighting Pakistan’s progress, he remarked that unity within the nation could help overcome long-standing challenges.

KATI President Muhammad Ikram Rajput echoed these sentiments, praising a recent agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye as pivotal for establishing a new Muslim superpower bloc. He urged all stakeholders to collaborate for the nation’s development and to work towards a positive image of Pakistan both at home and abroad, emphasizing the shared responsibility for the country’s future.
