15 Pakistani exporters participated in Leathertech 2025

The Pakistan Pavilion at Leathertech 2025 was inaugurated today by the High Commissioner of Pakistan in Dhaka, Mr Imran Haider. He was joined by Mr Hamid Arshad Zahur, Chairman of the Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA), along with other distinguished guests and participants showcasing their products from Pakistan at the Leathertech Fair, held from December 4 to 6, 2025, in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

After a five-year hiatus, 15 Pakistani exporters participated in this event, displaying a wide range of value-added finished leather made from cow and buffalo hides, as well as sheep and goat skins. Their products included leather garments, footwear, bags, gloves, and various leather goods.

On this auspicious occasion, a thematic Pakistan Pavilion was organised with an eye-catching design and colour scheme, made possible through the collaboration of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the High Commission of Pakistan in Dhaka. The pavilion is expected to serve as a significant gateway for the 15 Pakistani exporters of finished leather participating. It is anticipated that these companies will secure substantial business deals and form joint ventures to boost the country’s leather export sector.

Prior to the event, an extensive marketing and outreach campaign was launched with the support of the High Commission of Pakistan in Dhaka, aimed at attracting Bangladeshi buyers, customers, and visitors to the Pakistan Pavilion at Leathertech 2025 to foster business partnerships and collaborations.

There is hope that, with the support of all stakeholders, Pakistan’s share of exports in finished leather, leather garments, and leather products will increase in the Bangladeshi market. The optimism stems from the high quality of Pakistani finished leather, which is recognised as among the best in the world.

During the inauguration, Mr Hamid Arshad Zahur, the Chairman of PTA, expressed gratitude to High Commissioner Imran Haider for attending the event and inaugurating the Pakistan Pavilion at Leathertech 2025.

In his remarks, the High Commissioner praised the exceptional quality of finished leather presented by the Pakistani exporters and assured them of maximum support. His goal was to make their participation more productive to achieve the desired outcomes of promoting the country’s exports.
