Yousef Hasan Khalawi, Secretary General Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (ICCIA) visited FPCCI Head Office on 13th September 2019 and met Former Chief Executive TDAP & Former President FPCCI S.M. Muneer, Senior Vice President FPCCI Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Vice Presidents FPCCI Muslim Mohamedi and Noor Ahmed Khan, Former Senior Vice President FPCCI Sheikh Khalid Tawab, Gulzar Firoz and prominent businessmen and media representatives.
During his visit, Secretary General ICCIA officially announced that the 29th Board of Directors and 62nd Financial Committee Meetings of ICCIA will be held on 15th & 16th November 2019 at Karachi to be hosted by FPCCI. He also announced that an Investment Bridge, Exhibition of Islamic Art and B2B meetings will be held on the sidelines of the BOD meeting to promote the investment, business and cultural activities offered by Pakistan. He acknowledged the efforts of FPCCI for hosting these meetings and appreciated the support of FPCCI Management and Secretariat for the success of these upcoming events. Secretary General ICCIA also appreciated the hosting of Executive Committee Meeting of ECO CCI, which will precede the meetings of ICCIA on 14th November 2019 also at Karachi marking it a historic event.
Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Senior Vice President FPCCI while welcoming the visit of Secretary General ICCIA to Karachi called it an excellent opportunity for Pakistan to have the leading businessmen from 57 OIC member states visiting to explore the business opportunities in Pakistan. He proposed OIC Arbitration Centre, Halal Accreditation Centre, OIC R&D Center, ITQAN Excellence Awards and Reactivation of ICCIA Headquarters in Karachi to be included in the agenda of the forthcoming BOD meeting of ICCIA.
