Workers’ remittances for October 2025 stand $3.4 billion : SBP

In a remarkable steady rise, workers’ remittances for October 2025 reached an impressive total of $3.4 billion. This figure highlights a 7.4% month-over-month (m/m) growth and a robust 11.9% year-over-year (y/y) increase, indicating a strong influx of financial support from overseas workers.

Total remittances from July to October of Fiscal Year 2026 totaled $13.0 billion, representing a 9.3% increase from the $11.9 billion recorded during the same period last year. This cumulative growth emphasizes the critical role of remittances in bolstering the economy.

The primary sources of remittance inflows in October were from several key countries: Saudi Arabia led the chart with $820.9 million, followed closely by the United Arab Emirates at $697.7 million, the United Kingdom contributing $487.7 million, and the United States of America adding $290.0 million.

The continued growth in remittances reflects the resilience and determination of workers abroad, who support their families and communities back home. As these funds enter the economy, they provide a vital lifeline for many households and make a substantial contribution to local development.
