Spokesperson of United Business Group (UBG) Gulzar FIroz has termed inclusion of President FPCCI Mian Anjum Nisa as an ordinary member of FPCCI anomaly Committee formed by FBR as insult to the largest representative body of Business community in the country.

In statement Gulzar FIroz said that this committee was formed to correct the tax anomalies of 2020-21 budget and an ordinary businessperson Saqib Sherazi was designated as the Chairman and co-chairman is member of custom policy committee Muhammad Javed of the FBR’s nine membered committee. “While the president of the reputed representative body of business community was just included into that committee just as a member which is sheer disgrace for FPCCI” he added. He said as a member Mr. Nisar could not represent the concerns of trade and business community in the committee and will not have any authority to do so as an ordinary member.

He urged Mian Anjum Nisar to resign from the committee as protest against this disgraceful act of FBR. He further said that this also shows that government officials do not recognize the current President of FPCCI and not ready to give him any importance.
