The University of Agriculture Faisalabad, in collaboration with the Pakistan Youth Change Advocates, has launched camping to create awareness about healthy food and the hazardous effects of trans-fats and to curtail the increasing number of ailments in society.
In this regard, UAF and PYCA will hold awareness sessions, seminars, and camps to reach the people.
UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Sarwar Khan said that trans fats consistently contribute to the country’s burden of non-communicable diseases, especially heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, stroke, and diabetes. He called for creating awareness among people about healthy food habits and ensuring quality food for the public.
Dr Allah Rakha, who is leading the campaign, called for raising society’s awareness about healthy food and activities.
