Two more foreign vessels arrive at KPT amid ongoing transhipment

With increasing reliance from international shipping lines operating across Middle East shipping routes, Karachi Port is witnessing a notable rise in transshipment cargo handling, further strengthening its role as a regional maritime logistics and cargo redistribution hub.

In this regard, two transhipment vessels berthed simultaneously at Karachi Port. M/V CGLA Ocean Breeze 1 docked at Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT), while M/V GFS Jade berthed at Karachi Gateway Terminal Limited (KGTL), discharging transhipment containers destined for various ports across the Middle East region.

The simultaneous handling of transhipment containers at Karachi Port highlights the port’s strong operational capacity, efficient infrastructure, and strategic geographic advantage in supporting regional maritime logistics, container shipping operations, and uninterrupted international trade amid ongoing disruptions to global shipping routes.
