Final selection trials for the 35th National Games 2025 were held, featuring bodybuilders from various districts across Sindh. The event took place at the Sindh Sports and Youth Club in Gulistan-e-Jauhar on October 19, 2025. The trials were organised by the Sindh Bodybuilding and Fitness Association (SBBA) under the supervision of the Sindh Olympic Association (SOA).
Athletes selected to represent Sindh include Muhammad Sadiq (60kg, Shaheed Benazirabad), Mohammad Ismail (65kg, Karachi), Salim Anwar (70kg, Mirpurkhas), Shaikh Kamran (75kg, Karachi), Sami Butt (80kg, Karachi), Nadeem Rajput (80kg, Sukkur), Asmat Khan (90kg, Karachi), Muhammad Imran (95kg, Karachi), Yamin Imtiaz (100kg, Karachi), and Wajahat Khan (over 100kg, Karachi). For the Fitness Challenge, Sohail Ahmed (Junior Under-23) and Syed Mujeeb Shah (Senior Open category), both from Karachi, were also selected.
For the first time, female athletes will participate in bodybuilding and fitness competitions, marking a historic step for the sport. The successful athletes will represent Sindh in the upcoming National Games in Karachi.
The panel of judges included IFBB International Judge Muhammad Iqbal Bali, Aamir Ullah Khan, Secretary General Karachi Bodybuilding Association, and Raees Ahmed Khan (former Mr Sindh), Chairman Karachi Bodybuilding Association.
The event was supervised by Ahmed Ali Rajpur, Secretary General of the Sindh Olympic Association; Tariq Zafar, Secretary General of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation; and Mohammad Iqbal, Secretary General of the Sindh Bodybuilding Association.
Among the observers were Dr Asad Ishaq, Director/Additional Secretary, Sports & Youth Affairs; Fareed Ali, Assistant Director, Sports & Youth Affairs; and Ismail Shah, District Sports Officer (East), who ensured a fair and transparent selection process for the upcoming National Games.
