1. **Bulk and Break-Bulk Cargo Transhipment:**

The government has authorised the handling of bulk and breakbulk cargo, thereby enhancing port throughput and attracting new shipping lines, thereby facilitating regional trade in commodities such as grains, coal, and minerals.

2. **Specialised Ro-Ro Transhipment Operations:**

Approval for the transhipment of vehicles via Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessels will streamline automotive logistics, reduce handling times, and establish Pakistan as a pivotal node in regional vehicle distribution.

3. **LCL Cargo Handling for Transhipment:**

The government will now handle Less than Container Load (LCL) cargo, allowing for the consolidation and redistribution of smaller shipments, making Pakistan more appealing to global freight forwarders and facilitating transit for landlocked Central Asian countries.
