The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has announced the establishment of a dedicated help desk at the Lasbela Chamber of Commerce & Industry(LCCI) to facilitate trade promotion in Balochistan.
The initiative was unveiled during a visit by TDAP Secretary Sheryar Taj, accompanied by senior officials of TDAP and the Pakistan Horticulture Development and Export Company (PHDEC), to the Lasbela Chamber. The purpose of the visit was to formally launch a joint TDAP–PHDEC help desk to support exporters and local businesses.
Lasbela Chamber’s former president and CEO of Hub Salt, Ismail Suttar, welcomed the delegation. Deputy Commissioner Hub, Jumma Dad, was also present on the occasion. We discussed providing strategic assistance to nearly 300 registered companies in the Lasbela Industrial Zone and Marble City, as well as to agricultural and horticultural exporters across southern Balochistan.
Before the meeting, the officials toured the Hub Salt Industry, where Mr. Suttar highlighted Balochistan’s economic potential, particularly in the minerals sector. He underscored the region’s industrial footprint, noting that Hub alone contributes Rs480 billion to national tax revenues.
Both sides agreed to formulate a joint action plan under a public-private partnership framework. The plan is expected to harness Balochistan’s vast export and economic potential, marking a significant step towards strengthening the province’s role in national trade.
