The PSX market witnessed a lackluster session today

· The market witnessed a lackluster session today due to continued economic concerns and political uncertainty. The KSE-100 Index remained range bound today as investor participation remained dull over USD taking a flight against Pak rupee making a historic high. Volumes remained dry throughout the board, on the contrary hefty volumes were observed in the 3rd tier stocks..

· The Index closed at 42,726.06pts, up by 58.74pts (+0.14% DoD). Sectors contributing to the performance include Banks (+31.0pts), Technology (+30.8pts), Fertilizer (+17.7pts) and Engineering (+13.1pts).

· Volumes decreased from 250.4mn shares to 197.9mn shares (-21.0% DoD). Average traded value also decreased by 30.7% to reach US$ 31.6mn as against US$ 45.5mn.

· Stocks that contributed significantly are WTL, CNERGY, LOTCHEM, PRL and TREET.
