The flood Victims will get relief from the army rescue operation.

The flood victims will get relief from the army rescue operation. Multinational and national companies should immediately provide tents, food and clothes to help the flood victims under corporate social responsibility. A volunteer disaster management force under the supervision of a deputy commissioner should be formed in every union council at the federal and provincial levels; as the government’s resources are limited, this force can play its role in any natural calamity. Such a force works in developed countries, said the Chairman of the Consumer Association of Pakistan, Kaukab Iqbal, while addressing a meeting to help the flood-affected people at the CAP office.

He said that all the political parties of the country should end their differences in this difficult time and play their role in providing relief to the flood-affected people. The party’s leaders share the sufferings of the flood victims, the party will provide maximum relief to the people, and the suffering people will always remember it because those who support them in their sorrows stay in their hearts. Kaukab Iqbal said that some profit-seeking traders had increased the prices of tents and other items, and the government should take action against such profiteers under the Profiteering Act. Appreciating it, he said it is the need of the hour because the rainwater can be used after storing it.

In response to a question, Kaukab Iqbal said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had issued an immediate directive to fill the potholes on the roads damaged by the rains so that the flow of traffic could be restored. Kaukab Iqbal said that the traffic police officers not only helped the people stuck on the roads in the rains under the instructions of Additional IG Javeed Alam Odhu and DIG Traffic Ahmed Nawaz but also repaired their damaged vehicles. Set a great example of patriotism and filled the road potholes with heavy machinery to maintain traffic flow on various highways. He said the federal and provincial government departments should also set similar examples.

Kaukab Iqbal said that climate change has started, and the weather of the whole world has changed. Allah saved our country from drought, and there was excessive rain for which neither the people nor the government had ever made any strategy. It was also seen that the forecast of the Meteorological Department was not proved correct, many spells of rain came one after the other, and there was no preparation to bear it in Pakistan. As a result, many villages have been wiped out, and people are waiting for help under the open sky.

Kaukab Iqbal said that Railway Minister Saad Rafiq had postponed the railway operation for four days because of the rains and floods. He noted that five friends were swept away in the floods in Kohistan, and the relevant agencies, including the government, failed to rescue them, due to which they lost their lives, saddening the entire nation. Kaukab Iqbal further said that the users spend the corporate social responsibility fund, which is not a burden on any company.
