The farmer’s week economy denting fertiliser sales

AHL Research analyzed the Pakistan Fertilizer Sector, reporting a 25% YoY decline in urea sales in April ’25, down to 245k tons due to reduced purchasing power and weak agronomics. EFERT’s urea sales fell by 1% YoY to 75k tons, while FFC’s dropped by 52% YoY to 108k tons.

In contrast, FATIMA Group’s sales grew by 59% year over year to 42k tons. Month over month, urea dispatches decreased by 20%, with FFC sales down 36%, while EFERT and FATIMA saw increases of 27% and 14%, respectively.

DAP sales also fell 4% YoY in April, totaling 88k tons, despite an 82% MoM increase. FFC’s DAP sales contracted by 34% YoY but doubled MoM to 54k tons, while EFERT’s surged threefold YoY to 31k tons. FATIMA Group improved significantly, marking a 67x YoY increase to 3k tons. Urea inventory stood at 1,043k tons, compared to 368k tons in March, while DAP inventory was 129k tons.
