Syed Aman Shah, the Provincial Convener of the Awam-e-Pakistan Party Balochistan, has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the destruction caused by the recent floods in Punjab. He stated that this natural disaster is not just a trial for the people of Punjab, but for the entire nation of Pakistan. Now, more than ever, there is a dire need for national unity and solidarity with those affected.
He said that the floods in various districts of Punjab have severely damaged crops, farmland, homes, and infrastructure. Thousands of families have been displaced, and millions are awaiting aid under the open sky. Women, children, and the elderly are among the most affected, and there is a growing risk of disease outbreaks.
Syed Aman Shah emphasized that the Awam-e-Pakistan Party Balochistan stands in solidarity with the people of Punjab in their grief. Party workers will mobilize their resources to assist in the rehabilitation of those affected. He urged the federal government to declare the affected districts as disaster-hit areas immediately and to launch emergency relief operations without delay.
He also called upon the Punjab provincial government to ensure transparency in all relief and rehabilitation efforts so that aid and funds reach the rightful recipients directly. Furthermore, philanthropists and social welfare organizations must also step forward to help alleviate the suffering of flood-affected families.
Syed Aman Shah concluded with prayers for the affected families, asking Allah Almighty to ease their hardships and grant paradise to those who lost their lives in the disaster.
