Syed Aman Shah, Provincial President of Awaam Pakistan Party Balochistan, stated that Balochistan is currently going through a highly sensitive and critical period, in which the deteriorating law and order situation, rising incidents of terrorism, and economic challenges have caused severe hardship for the people. Under these circumstances, it is the collective responsibility of all political, tribal, social, and religious leaders to set aside personal interests, political differences, and tribal disputes, and unite for the sake of peace, stability and development in the province.
He said that terrorism is not merely an issue for the government, security institutions, or law enforcement agencies; rather, it is a grave threat to society as a whole. This brutal menace can only be effectively confronted when the public, political parties, tribal elders, religious leaders, youth, and civil society adopt a united stance and reject terrorists and their facilitators at every level.
Syed Aman Shah further stated that Awaam Pakistan Party has, since its inception, remained committed to promoting peace, democracy, the supremacy of the Constitution, national unity and the welfare of the people. The party believes that the solution to Balochistan’s challenges lies in dialogue, political stability, mutual trust, and meaningful public participation. Hatred, violence, and insecurity not only claim precious human lives but also severely hinder development projects, investment, trade, education, and employment opportunities.
He emphasized that Balochistan is a province rich in natural resources, but without lasting peace and stability, its people cannot truly benefit from these resources. If sustainable peace is established, it will encourage investment and create new opportunities for employment, quality education, healthcare and overall socio-economic development, particularly for the youth.
He urged the federal and provincial governments to adopt an effective strategy to eliminate terrorism while simultaneously addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by the people. He stressed the importance of creating employment opportunities for young people, promoting education, and improving essential public services to address the root causes of instability and ensure long-term peace.
Syed Aman Shah also appealed to all political, tribal, social, and religious leaders in Balochistan to rise above their differences and work together for peace, brotherhood, unity, and development, so that Balochistan can become a peaceful, stable, and prosperous province.
