The 11th MCAP-BNU International Media Conference recently concluded at Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore, bringing together academics, journalists, and media professionals to address contemporary media challenges. Themed “Reclaiming Hope: Media, Activism & Social Justice,” the conference emphasised ethical journalism, inclusive narratives, and regional collaboration in the digital age.

Inaugurated by Dr. Moeed Yusuf, Vice Chancellor of BNU, the event featured plenary sessions, workshops, and discussions on topics including media activism and the impact of emerging technologies. A key focus was on media cooperation between China and Pakistan.

The conference honored Mr. Javed Jabbar with a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the media industry. It emphasised the vital role of media literacy for informed citizenship and regional engagement.
