Thal Engineering supports Deaf Reach School and College under the “EHSAAS” program

In a ceremony held at the Thal Engineering Korangi Karachi plant, the Company, in the presence of the Honorable First Lady, Mrs. Samina Alvi, donated state of the art specially designed and manufactured Thal Engineering air conditioners to the Deaf Reach School and College for their vans.

The vehicles, which have been fitted with Thal Engineering’s air conditioners, are used by the Deaf Reach School and Collegeto pick and drop their students in different cities. This initiative by Thal Engineering is an extension of the Prime Minister’s “EHSAAS” Program for improving the quality of life for differently abled persons on their way to becoming financially self-reliant.

Speaking at the event, Syed Akkas ul Husaini, CEO, Thal Engineering said, “We, at Thal Engineering, would like to thank the Honorable First Lady, Mrs. Alvi, Ambassador of the EHSAAS Program, for joining us on this special occasion. The work being carried out by Mr. Richard Geary and his team at the Deaf Reach Program is commendable. Through our thermal conditioning we hope to make the transport for the children more comfortable so they reach their destination refreshed.”

In her address, the Honorable First Lady, Mrs. SaminaAlvi said: “I am thankful to Thal Engineering for inviting me to be a part of this auspicious occasion. The work that is being done by the Deaf Reach Program is admirable and I hope more organizations see the value in contributing to such a noble cause.”

Mr. Richard Geary, Founder, Deaf Reach Program and Mr. Zahid Asghar, Chief Executive, COMCON were also present on the occasion and they greatly appreciated the efforts being carried out by Thal Engineering. The air conditioners for the Deaf Reach Program’s Suzuki Bolan vans were handed over by Mr. Syed Akkas ul Husaini to Mr. Richard Geary.

Upon the completion of the handing over ceremony, the Honorable First Lady, Mrs.SaminaAlvi participated in a tree plantation ceremony and was also given a tour of the factory.
