SVC takes charge as acting Chairman P@SHA

The Secretary General of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) wishes to clarify recent developments concerning the association’s leadership. Following the recent CEC meeting, eight of the twelve members of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) have formally voted in favor of a no-confidence motion against its former Chairman, Mr. Sajjad Mustafa Syed.

According to the minutes of the CEC meeting, 8 CEC members voted in favor of the no-confidence motion; 3 voted against it, and 1 member abstained. This makes it a two-thirds majority in favor of the vote of no confidence.

The P@SHA extends best wishes to its former Chairman for the very best in his future endeavors, and he continues to serve as its CEC member for the remainder of his term.

Looking ahead, the CEC is committed to ensuring continuity, stability, and smooth daily and strategic operations across all ongoing initiatives.

Senior Vice Chairman of P@SHA has been appointed as the Acting Chairman of P@SHA by default, as per rules, until a new Chairman is elected by the CEC in the coming days.

It is further clarified that upcoming elections and the 22nd P@SHA ICT Awards will be held as per their respective schedules without any delays or interruptions, as P@SHA is a strong and well-established trade body and remains committed to continuing business as usual in the larger interest of the IT Industry.

P@SHA strongly maintains that its elections will be held in a timely, free, fair, and transparent manner.
